Laci Olah is a classically trained violinist, orchestrator, and teacher. A sixth-generation musician, he attributes his development as an all-round musician to his heritage and his father, who himself was a classically trained jazz pianist.

Due to his on-the-spot improvisatory and orchestrating skills, he has collaborated with numerous artists from different genres, from classical to jazz, to pop, rock, musical, and film music where he played, arranged and orchestrated on their recordings and on their performances.

In 2001 he received the First Prize at the Dexia Competition.

During his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, his prominent talent was recognized by Igor Oistrakh, who accepted him in his class. He continued his studies with Lilia Umnova at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, where he graduated with a "Master of Arts in Music" with a specialization in Music Pedagogy with distinction in 2011.

Laci’s Orchestral and Chamber Music development has benefited from the collaboration with the string ensemble, "Timur Und Seine Mannschaft", where he acted as concertmaster and soloist from 2007 until 2011.

Between 2011 and 2013 he was active in the musical scéne in Belgium. During this period he participated in the production of Oliver! and played the fiddler role in the production Fiddler on the Roof. He co-wrote the music and performed for a WWII themed theatre play called “ Red Strawberries”

In 2012 he was awarded the position of concertmaster in the Hooverphonic with Orchestra project.

With Hooverphonic, he recorded two albums, a live DVD and played over 50 concerts with Hooverphonic over the course of 2 years in the most prestigious halls of Belgium, while performing live in numerous tv and radio shows as well.

Since 2014 he has been living in London, UK and is currently holding a teaching position at Dartford Grammar School for Boys and he is acting as artistic director and teacher at East Dulwich School of Strings.

In 2017 he joined Vox Vanguard, an immersive classical art production company that creates bespoke brand experiences, as an artistic advisor, orchestrator and artist.


Since 2018 he has been leading The Infinity Orchestra where he collaborates with Okiem Warmann on corporate events, concerts and music festivals. With Okiem and The Infinity Orchestra, he toured all around Europe with a rendition of Dr Dre’s 2001 album and performed at the O2 arena with Burna Boy and collaborated on the track for his Grammy Award performance in 2021.

From 2019 to 2022 he was serving as co-leader at Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra.

In the season of 2022, Laci was touring with “Ministry of Sound-Disco” and joined the “Down for the Count” Jazz Orchestra with whom he tours twice a year around the UK.

In the following year he joined The Kingdom Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall to perform the UK launch of Gregory Porter's new album.

Laci continues to record, arrange music and to perform all around the world, with recent visits to Venice, Monaco, Lake Como and Maldives.
